About GTPCL

Gujarat Town Planning Consultancy Ltd. (GTPCL) has been established under the Companies Act, 2013 by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) initiative in association with Urban Development Authorities of Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot & Gandhinagar to assist and expedite the urban planning process town planning process in Gujarat. GTPCL is a one-of- its-kind consulting organization & training providing highly specialized services and efficient solutions for large-scale urban planning services to Urban Local Bodies as well as Semi-Government & private urban sector entities. GTPCL brings in unique experiential expertise of various urban & regional planning services like preparing Development Plans, Town Planning Schemes, and Local Area Plans.

GTPCL was initiated to cater to the pressing need for expert services for better urban planning in the rapidly developing urban landscape of Gujarat. Gujarat is the 5th most urbanized State of India. With 8 Municipal Corporations and 156 Municipalities, the State is undergoing a massive urbanization spree. With rapid urbanization, there is a growing need for better and systematic urban planning, especially in developing towns and cities. Recognizing this crucial need, AUDA initiated GTPCL as an agency that can provide the much-needed urban planning services to this rapidly growing urban landscape. GTPCL is enriched by the vast and rich experience of AUDA and is supported by the Urban Development Authorities of Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot & Gandhinagar.
